Do you remember this post? I babbled on and on about getting a blog upgrade and having my own space on the web, and after four months – I did it!
(Well, four months was a long time for anyone to register the domain for me – you know, as a gift like no biggie – but my parinig didn’t work. I had to do it myself. Lelz.)
I migrated all my previous blog posts and reorganized them using categories and tags, so I hope navigating will be easier from now on. To start, use the sliding menu on your left!
Also, I spent a lot of hours writing and re-writing my “About Me” page, and that pretty much describes what this new blog is all about. Check it out!
And if you noticed, this is now “a medical blog and resource site” meaning (oh no) I must stay true to the resource site part! Hahaha! Well at least that’s something new to look forward to for all of us. I am working on a lot of med-related articles, study tips, and free downloads! I think I’m just going to upload them all at once to make it look more legit. Or should I do it one by one? For the mean time, any suggestions are welcome! What do you want to see around here? 🙂
Lastly, for the record, I did jump out of my excitement when I finally bought this domain. Yes, it was an impulsive purchase at 2 am, but it’s something I’ve been thinking about for years. When I actually got to the dirty work, I admit that more than once, I thought “YIKES what did I get myself into?” Transferring my old posts, choosing a responsive site layout, working with codes, setting up the must-have plug-ins, checking for errors, conceptualizing new content, and paying $$ for hosting space – this site is no joke.
It is a brand new commitment, and yes, it is possible for me to forget about this once the unpredictable and unforgiving med life takes its course, but why focus on the negative?
I’d rather tell myself that 1) this is me fulfilling my childhood dream, and 2) this is me opening myself to new opportunities – to meet like-minded people, to help and inspire readers, and to simply remember my days. Is there any other way? 🙂
Cheers to doing what you’ve always wanted to do!
