Blogging Like It’s My Business

It’s been two years since I bought this domain, with the original intention of somehow making this website my productive hobby slash profitable sideline. Well, that didn’t happen.

I’m mentioning this because I just got an email that my self-hosted blog is due for a renewal of contract in a few weeks. Mind you, that comes with a HEFTY price tag – in freaking dollars. Damn.

I also bought a new laptop in the hopes of making it another profitable investment. We’ll see!

Bloggers United – At Last!

As you know, I’ve been blogging for YEARS, but this is my first time to join the biggest event for bloggers here in the Philippines. What do you know? Maybe the thirteenth time’s the charm!

Sharing with you a few pictures from my first ever Bloggers United Bazaar last June 3, 2017 at Whitespace Makati.

Long Lasting Everyday Makeup For Med Students

Here’s something ironic. Every time I go out with my friends, I’m always the one with the least makeup on. You can see it in the pictures! When I’m in school however, I’m one of the few who actually spend time in the bathroom, worrying about my eyebrows instead of the rumored surprise quiz!

Mind you, I only apply makeup in the morning, and rarely retouch for the rest of the day. That’s because all my makeup are easy to apply and long lasting – perfect for busy med students who still want AND need to look presentable.

So, here goes my first ever gandang ganda sa sarili post! I’m sharing with you the basics inside my everyday makeup kit, in order of application.

No Need To Put In A Plastic Bag, Please!

Two years ago, I wrote this entry about the Plastic Bag Ban in Las Pinas. Even then, I had my reservations, but still welcomed the progressive legislation for my former city. As for my current one (yes – my renewed driver’s license made it official), I just learned that an ordinance has already been declared.

In Manila, city ordinance 8282 has completely disallowed the use of non-biodegradable plastic bags for dry goods but allowed regulated use for wet goods. The ordinance also prohibits business establishments from offering, selling or using plastic bags as primary or secondary packaging for dry goods. by Mary Rose A. Hogaza

“Just learned”, because obviously, I don’t see it in action. (more…)

Make My Day Blog – 2013 in review

The stats helper monkeys prepared a 2013 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

The concert hall at the Sydney Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 21,000 times in 2013. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 8 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.
