Bloggers United – At Last!
As you know, I’ve been blogging for YEARS, but this is my first time to join the biggest event for bloggers here in the Philippines. What do you know? Maybe the thirteenth time’s the charm!
Sharing with you a few pictures from my first ever Bloggers United Bazaar last June 3, 2017 at Whitespace Makati.
I’d like to thank my fellow Candy Council of Cool girls Ana and CJ 🙂 We’ve all come such a long way from our teeny bopper years writing for our favorite mag! I’m thrilled that the three of us are still pursuing our passions. It’s no surprise then that our paths should cross again! (The last time we were together, it was for a photoshoot for Ana’s handmade hippie bands!)
Vloggers United Too!
I loved seeing vloggers doing their thing during the event too! Just like in Youtube FanFest, I met a lot of kiddies shooting their “first vlogs” excitedly. I particularly liked it when they would come up to me to make real conversation and ask questions. It just makes for better content, doesn’t it?
Needless to say, Baninay was there vlogging too, and she was such a breath of fresh air in a sea of sosyal bloggers. Hahaha! I told her to dress up according to the theme (Riverdale + Back To School hence my very short skirt ugh) but she didn’t bother. Homegirl came to sell her merch and sell her merch she did!! Have you seen her vlog?
I’m No Introvert
Apart from the fact that we almost cleared our entire booth (aka our entire closet haha), I got to chat and hang out with new people too! I wish I could insist that I’m really an introvert by nature, just because socializing drains the life out of me and I would avoid it 9 times out of 10.
But being in Bloggers United once again proved I’m anything but. An ambivert, perhaps?
For example, I personally approached Say Alonzo to introduce myself. Say was my favorite housemate in Pinoy Big Brother Season 1, and she’s now a mommy blogger!
I think that was my first time to introduce myself to a celebrity, and even if I hesitated a little, I decided I really wanted to meet her and should not let that opportunity pass. I was relieved (and pleasantly surprised) that she already knew me from watching the show! It was so nice to chat with someone who’s been through the same experience as I did in the PBB house.
The rest of the day was spent selling our clothes until prices went as low as 5 pieces for Php 100! I’m happy that our unused clothes now have a new home. Here are a few more pictures grabbed from Twitter. Thanks for tagging me guys! 🙂 I hope to see you again at the next BU event this December!
