Who Writes Here?

Aura Azarcon, Manila, Philippines

Aura Azarcon blog fullHi! My name is Aura, and this is my personal blog. Here you can read about the ups and downs of being a life-long learner on the road to MD.

I’m a full time medical student, and an online story teller on the side. I write about the little things that made my day, and the big things that I wish more of us talked about. 🙂

If you want to know what life is like in the world of medicine, I’m a newbie with so many stories to tell. I once tried to describe what I do as a med student, but I know I barely scratched the surface on that one. I don’t think my words will ever be enough to cover what we go through every day, but still, I’m trying my best!

Also, I like following similar medical blogs from all over the world. After all, medicine is not just a constant science, but also a changing art – and it largely depends on the culture and lives of the people it aims to touch. If you’re after the same thing, stick around and I would gladly show you a Filipino medical student’s point of view.

Road To MD

I was once a pre-med Biology major who was so anxious about getting into med school. It turns out, the real anxiety would eventually be from fighting just to stay! I Now, I am already a clinical clerk, learning medicine by seeing and doing what I used to just read from my textbooks.

Make My Day

I’ve been blogging on and off for more than ten years using different platforms, but I’m hoping this address will be my permanent home from now on. Blogging will always be my personal escape, my form of self-expression and self-discovery, and I do it so I have something to look back on many years from now. But along the way, I hope to inspire and help others too!

So whether you are an aspiring med student or a surviving one at that (I feel you!), I hope you find something here that will make your day. 🙂
